Behind Okala is a global team of experts combining ecology, technology and data science to solve complex environmental challenges. Our people bring field experience from diverse ecosystems and technical expertise in AI and software engineering, working side by side to deliver solutions that make ecological data practical, transparent and actionable for organisations worldwide.
Robin has over 20 years of experience in conservation, biodiversity science and nature technology. He drives Okala's vision to be a global leader in nature data collection and analytics. He is an Honorary Lecturer in Ecology at the University of Stirling, UK.
With a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research, Germany, David has over 15 years of experience delivering biodiversity and species monitoring projects across Africa. He is a Senior Lecturer in Ecology (Honorary) at the University of Stirling and member of the IUCN Pangolin Species Specialist Group. David supports Okala's clients across Africa and Asia with biodiversity impact monitoring and reporting.
Jeremy has a PhD in Zoology from the University of Oxford. With over 15 years experience as a quantitative ecologist delivering large-scale field projects in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, Jeremy oversees the design and implementation of biodiversity projects for Okala's customers in the mining, forestry, agriculture and conservation sectors.

Hiren has more than 20 years of experience in Sustainability and Climate Change, Carbon Accounting, Green Building Services and LEED certified portfolios. With an MSc in Sustainable Studies from the University of Sydney, Hiren leads our carbon and ESG verticals.

With over 20 years of experience in geospatial technology and services, Carol is passionate about the power of data and technology for nature intelligence. Prior to joining Okala, Carol was COO of Space Intelligence, where she gained extensive experience building and scaling a nature tech start-up from an early stage through to post-Series A. Carol joins Okala as Strategic Growth Advisor to support the Company's scaling for greater impact.
Amrita holds a PhD in Development Studies from SOAS University of London, with over 15 years’ experience in sustainability. As ESG lead, she drives Okala’s natural capital initiatives, partnerships, and funding. Amrita has led projects across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe, worked for the World Bank and UNDP, lectured at SOAS, and is a member of the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab and the Earth System Governance Project.
Roisin has commercial experience managing international projects across multiple sectors and industries. She works with our clients to ensure smooth project delivery at every step.

Rahul has a PhD in Social-Ecological Systems Resilience from the Anglia Ruskin University. With over 18 years of experience as an ecologist, Rahul is a full member of CIEEM, and a member of IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management. He has delivered biodiversity projects across India and the UK. At Okala Rahul supports its clients in developing and implementing projects in infrastructure development, mining, forestry and conservation sectors.

Ed leads Okala's remote sensing and AI work, supporting our clients across EUDR, biodiversity reporting and carbon accounting. He has a PhD in Earth Observation from the University of Sussex and is an expert in building computer vision models.
With a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Stirling and over 10 years of experience developing big-data analytics platforms for the environmental sector, Adam leads development of our best-in-class biodiversity reporting software.

Mili has an M.Plan in Environment from the School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi. She supports our customers with ESG reporting and carbon initiatives.
With an MSc in Finance from Warwick Business School, Anchiekaa manages Okala's finances and supports our client partnerships.

With an M.Plan in Environmental Planning from the School of Architecture & Planning in New Delhi, Shreya supports our clients with carbon initiatives and biodiversity reporting.

Patrice provides logistical management across our Africa projects, helping us deliver high quality work on time and within budget.
Fabrice has 10 years of experience leading large-scale biodiversity monitoring programs in Africa. He has an MRes in Population Biology from USTM, Gabon.

Cristobal has an MSc in Environmental Management (Conservation) from the University of Stirling. He works with our biodiversity clients from field to reporting, providing support with data collection and analytics.

Toby has an MSc in Animal Biology from the University of Bangor in Wales. He went on to build a career in software engineering and leads front-end development of Okala's Biodiversity Dashboard.
Yannick leads field operations and biodiversity reporting for our Gabon and Africa customers. He has an MSc in Environmental Science from USTM in Gabon.
