Okala has recently expanded into marine biodiversity monitoring, and we're keen to share what we're working on!

Weโ€™re partnering with a multinational company in Asia to track mangrove and coastal biodiversity restoration, and to establish scalable monitoring standards.

To restore these damaged mangrove ecosystems, our partner needed high-quality baseline data and scalable methods to quantify how well restoration efforts are actually working.

Our partners are deploying a multi-method approach across these coastal areas:

Combined with the expertise of our ecologists to validate AI-outputs and apply statistical models, we can accurately track changes in species diversity and abundance over time and space.

This approach lets us establish robust baselines before large-scale restoration work begins, giving our partners the data they need to track real conservation impact. Great job so far to the entire team working on this project! We'll share more updates as they become available ๐ŸŒŠ
